  9. NOTE TO UAE/FELLOW USERS:
  10. - This WHDload patch is configured and made possible using a REAL Amiga!
  11. If you are able to play this install on your emulator, this comes with no
  12. assurances that the install will be trouble free, and as such, NO mail can
  13. be answered in relation to bugs occuring on anything other than a
  14. REAL Amiga!  If any serious problems occur as a result of using this patch
  15. on your emulated machine, please consider reporting the problem to the 
  16. author of the emulator you are using.

  18. REQUIREMENTS:
  19. - Slave requires WHDLOAD V14+.
  20. - Demo requires 1.0 MB Chip Mem (+ 0.5 MB other memory for preload option)

  24. - Replay routine replaced (o4o/o6o)
  25. - Reset routine patched to exit demo
  26. - Quit option is 'Del'

  30. You need to install UNADF by Andrew Bell, you will find the utility at:

  34. Install the relevant file to your SYS:C/ directory
  35. Not doing this will result in NO demo!!!

  39. Took me a long time to track this demo down in a workable form, lots 
  40. of versions that were gzipped, which would have made the whole install
  41. process a lot more trouble than was needed.

  43. As it is, I have to convert from the .ADF file the zip produces, and
  44. further extract the demo file!!!
  45.  
  46. The version of Cebit'90 on Aminet is a joke!!  It is done using an Action
  47. Replay cartridge, and is USELESS!!!!!
  48.  
  49. XFDdecrunch has a bug in the Tetragon 2.2 depack, of which Cebit'90
  50. is packed with.  It took me a while to figure out why the titlepicture
  51. wasn't present, and why the colour pallete for the picture was missing!
  52.  
  53. XFDdecrunch misses the very end of the file, which is bizarre seeing as
  54. it gets the correct length.
  55.  
  56. So, the slave now takes care of that, and depacks the demo on first
  57. runtime, and then saves out a new file, and of course it never needs to 
  58. perform this process again (for faster loading).
